A radiologist assisting patients in the Jacksonville, Florida, region, Jay Jones presently works at Drs. Mori, Bean and Brooks, PA (MBB). His responsibilities include analyzing results from breast cancer screenings and other diagnostic tools like magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans. Acting in concert with his many colleagues at MBB, Jay Jones helps bring the high professional standard of care that grew the practice over the last five decades into the area’s largest provider of radiological services. Dr. Jones is certified by the American Board of Radiology, one of two dozen boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Prior to building a career in his field, Jay Jones studied biology and chemistry at Marshall University, where he also obtained his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. Following that accomplishment, he continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia, where he honed his skills while completing his residency in Diagnostic Radiology. Over the course of his education, he co-authored a paper published in Pediatric Radiology and received the Ellen Shaw de Paredes Breast Imaging Scholar Award.

After graduating from medical school and finishing his residency, Jay Jones worked at Williamsburg Radiology and Mid-Carolina Radiology before accepting his present position at MBB. His chief radiological interests center on abdominal imaging and the use of ultrasound technology.
